When did you last look over your business website? Is it as up to date as it should be? Or could it really use some much-needed importance? In this week’s episode, I’m sharing our experience creating a brand-new website for Nacre. It’s been a journey (to say the least), but I knew I had to share my tips and tricks to help all of you awesome people who want to revamp their website. Think of your website like your online real estate. It’s quite literally your shopfront for people to discover what you do and what you’re all about. Another way to think of it is like a garden. You could have all the bees and birds in the world exploring your garden, but if it’s not well maintained, they won’t stay there very long. Essentially, your website isn’t going to maintain itself. It needs just as much care and attention as you would put into your brick-and-mortar. You’ll hear in this episode our experience with Webbies and their guidance, being prepared for a fair amount of mental work, why you shouldn’t compromise on headshots, the importance of your home page, and all about the draft phase of ‘change-your-mind phase’. A new, updated website will not only look great, but it will essentially refresh and refine your brand. And when potential customers and clients explore it, they’ll take note of how much care you’re putting into your site.
