In Episode 6, Danielle Weedon (B. Physio) and Eleanor Dwyer (B. Sc, DPT) catch up with Ky Wynne, Physiotherapist and Exercise Scientist who has a special interest, and personal experience, in burnout in the Physiotherapy profession. ‘Burnout in physiotherapy is an increasingly prevalent issue, affecting physical and mental health, career satisfaction, and contributing to a high attrition rate in the profession. I have personally suffered from burnout on two occasions, adding my personal experience to an evidence-based coverage of a complex topic. While it is beyond the ability of one article to ‘solve’ this problem, this blog aims to shed light on burnout, the factors contributing towards its onset, and strategies to address it. Additionally, the blog will pose the questions of what changes need to be implemented to combat this problem in physiotherapy.’ Burnout in Physiotherapy - Experiences, Evidence & Strategies to Address this Complex Issue Subscribe to Allied Health PodcastSign up for Job Alerts Follow Us on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter Connect on LinkedInEleanor DwyerDanielle WeedonKy WynneSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
