0.487 - 25.482 Amala Ekpunobi

hi everybody and happy friday welcome to the live i'm amala epinobi you guys say i need to say my name these days a lot of you are catching our lives for the first time and you have no idea how the hell to say my name it is amala epinobi and guys we do have a special surprise today because taylor's back hey yeah back from uh a month of newborn well i've been working behind the scenes but glad to be back on the live streams today it's been a journey and we're delighted to have

0

25.462 - 31.506 Taylor

Junior Arden Trandall. He's not really junior, but I call him that. But yeah, very excited to be back though. So happy Friday.

0

31.756 - 49.421 Amala Ekpunobi

Yes, and we're going to get into some of our life updates, I guess, as we get into Super Chats later in the show and go through everything that has been taking place personally. Unfortunately, this live topic is not going to be a fun one. I think this story is going to be infuriating for so many who are watching. It was for me.

0

49.481 - 72.291 Amala Ekpunobi

I needed to take a moment to calm down and take this story in before getting on live to explain what has taken place in this particular episode. story. Now I will say shout out to everybody on Patreon because we put up a bunch of topics for you guys about what we wanted to talk about today. And you guys voted heavily on this story. You wanted us to talk about Henry Novak.

0

72.572 - 92.723 Amala Ekpunobi

And that's what we're going to do today. If you'd like to become a patron, go to our description and click the link to become a tea drinker. And you can have a stay in what we cover on Friday's show. And again, overwhelmingly people voted for this story. It was like 40%. Now we're going to get straight into it. The UK has fallen. I see so many of you saying that in the comments.

92.763 - 119.374 Amala Ekpunobi

The UK has lost its way. We've talked about this time and time again on this show. And this story, I think, truly, truly exemplifies how far the United Kingdom has fallen. I'm going to start off with a video explaining much of what has happened here, and then we're going to get into some of the more harrowing details of an 18-year-old who lost his life in a fatal stabbing in Southampton, UK.

119.916 - 120.437 Amala Ekpunobi

All right.

120.502 - 144.028 Unknown

This 18-year-old boy called Henry Nova drowned in his own blood while he lay handcuffed and passed out on the street. He was stabbed multiple times by a man called Vikram Digwa, 23, with an 8-inch Sikh ceremonial knife. This is your multicultural society. Digwa stabs Henry four times, wounds, fatal puncture to the chest, 8cm deep into the left lung, causing him to drown in his own blood.

144.008 - 167.347 Unknown

Two to the back of the legs. Henry tries to escape. He climbs a bin, fence and car. He leaves a trail of blood. A video taken by Digwa, the Sikh, shows Henry climbing while Digwa comments on the scene. Henry's shoes come off. Digwa is heard saying, I've got his shoes and everything, bruv. Neighbours call 999 quickly. Digwa tells arriving police that Henry had racially abused assaulted him.

Chapter 2: What were the circumstances surrounding the stabbing incident?

235.474 - 255.828 Amala Ekpunobi

He says there were massive international protests over George Floyd and those police involved were severely punished with long prison sentences. Yet the police responsible here did not even lose their jobs. An incredibly unjust double standard. Now let's go through the story here, because you're getting a lot of different stories from a lot of different media outlets on this.

0

256.369 - 273.527 Amala Ekpunobi

Of course, the BBC, which we've called out many a time on this channel, puts together this headline. Murder accused feared seek blade attack. So saying the person accused of murder, he feared a seek blade attack. And then you look into the story, you go seek blade attack. Okay, where, who had the blade?

0

273.507 - 294.31 Amala Ekpunobi

The murderer had the blade on him because for some reason in the UK, okay, if you are a resident citizen of the UK, somebody who's in the UK, you're not allowed to carry a blade on you, I believe larger than like three inches, something like that. No blades for you, right? But if you're a Sikh who wants to carry a ceremonial blade called a Kirpan, and I'll show you what that looks like here.

0

294.35 - 324.313 Amala Ekpunobi

This guy had one eight inches on him. Because of, I don't know what, multiculturalism, because of cultural exemption, you're allowed to carry this on you. Now, he had this on his neck, presumably on a chain. So the BBC posts this. Murder accused feared, he feared a Sikh blade attack. of his own blade. So you have this 18-year-old who is leaving a hangout with his football friends.

0

325.135 - 341.868 Amala Ekpunobi

He drank a little bit, but not enough to be over the legal limit to drive. He runs into this Indian Sikh man. A confrontation ensues, and then he gets stabbed, I believe, four times. four times. His lung is punctured. He's stabbed in the chest.

342.408 - 369.362 Amala Ekpunobi

And when the police arrive, the Sikh man accuses him of racism, says that he was, I guess, spouting racial epithets at him, took off his turban, which the story gets contradicted very quickly here. And then this attack ensues because he was so scared that this 18-year-old boy was going to use his own ceremonial blade against him. And then police officers arrive.

369.883 - 392.207 Amala Ekpunobi

And because they're hearing stories of a racial attack, and we all know the culture surrounding that in the UK right now and the multiculturalist conversations, they arrest and handcuff, I should just say handcuff, the 18-year-old boy. While he's telling them, I've been stabbed, I've been stabbed. Now, there are some reports that says a male voice says, I don't think you have been stabbed, mate.

392.768 - 414.128 Amala Ekpunobi

And they don't know if that's police officers saying that, if that's Digwa, the suspect, the murderer, if it's one of his family members. But somebody said that to this young boy as he's literally bleeding out in the street. Oh my gosh. I don't know how many more stories you need like this in the UK. I was in the UK in 2025 in July.

414.168 - 438.307 Amala Ekpunobi

The night before I arrive, a 24-year-old gets stabbed in Knightsbridge over a watch. He's like leaving a hotel late-ish at night, not that late. And he gets stabbed. by a bunch of you-know-whos, okay, mind you, for his watch. And then you look into these stories and it's like time and time again, these things are so predictable because of the culture that's been set up in these countries.

Chapter 3: How did the police respond to the incident involving Henry Nowak?

857.122 - 876.419 Amala Ekpunobi

It just makes you so upset to hear it. And I don't know how many more times this can continue to happen before something is done about this. I've seen politicians try to speak up about this and in the wake of this particular murder. Let's watch a clip there.

0

876.439 - 900.518 Unknown

A student on a night out is stabbed multiple times with a 21 centimeter long knife. He's lying in a pool of his own blood, literally drowning in his blood. The police come to the scene. Instead of doing everything that they can to save his life, they handcuff and arrest the lad because there's an accusation of racial abuse. This is a scandal.

0

901.392 - 918.498 Unknown

Will the Home Secretary come to the House and say what she's doing to investigate the way the police conducted this matter? And can we have a debate on two-tier policing, which is doing so much to undermine respect for the police and for the rule of law in this country?

0

919.66 - 941.575 Amala Ekpunobi

Can you have a conversation about that? I don't know. It doesn't seem so. In a lot of ways, you get called a bigot and a racist for having that conversation. I tell you, every single time I visited the UK, it's like you need to have your head on a swivel. And I say that as somebody living in Los Angeles, okay? My backyard is not doing all that well either. You go to London and you're in like...

0

941.555 - 964.98 Amala Ekpunobi

uh, what is it? Piccadilly circus or circle. And you're walking around here and it's like arms at your side. Do not, do not, you know, lose sight of, of your stuff. Keep your, what's about you. Don't wear jewelry. Don't wear nice clothing. Make sure you never leave anything anywhere. You can't really be like this open hospitable person to other people because, uh,

964.96 - 986.19 Amala Ekpunobi

I guess people are waiting to stab you or steal from you or pickpocket you everywhere you turn. And then when you go, a lot of these major crimes seem to be happening because of a particular demographic. You get called a racist bigot who's anti what multiculturalism. That seems to be the conversation these days.

987.993 - 1010.256 Taylor

Yeah. It's so tough too, because like, We've seen successful immigration stories where people integrate and adopt the identity of the country that they moved to and live flourishing great lives. So it shouldn't be this categorical thing, but it's so clear that this has just gotten so out of hand. And they keep referring to this like two-tier system

1010.236 - 1033.917 Taylor

of justice and that that has unfortunately become the reality in the uk uh i know we'll probably get into the whole grooming gangs situation but we just saw recently these massive uh unite the kingdom protests where tens of thousands of british people have gone taken to the streets uh to protest the fact that They're the ones being censored. They're the ones being arrested.

1033.937 - 1059.008 Taylor

They're the ones facing the punishment from the police, from the law for speaking, for using their free speech, for calling out the reality of the situation that they're facing. And meanwhile, the people who are actually perpetrating crimes, actually endangering neighborhoods, actually making their country unsafe, becoming a drain on the system, whatever it is. There's no enforcement.

Chapter 4: What are the cultural implications of this incident in the UK?

1764.886 - 1791.771 Amala Ekpunobi

as adequate as one would like it to be. Last week on this show, I did a young 23-year-old girl speaking at Cambridge Union about sex-based rights for women. She loses that debate. I mean, she loses that debate at Cambridge Union to a bunch of people who are arguing that, I don't know, kids should be transed and it's not a movement that is ruining anything for the rest of us.

0

1791.751 - 1814.089 Amala Ekpunobi

And then she posts her speech online and goes viral because the whole world goes, obviously, duh. Obviously, duh. And an institution like Cambridge Union should know that. Yet she loses. And it's just little blips, this one being a big blip, this story, that keep popping up. And you go, hmm, when are all the pieces of the puzzle gonna be put together?

0

1814.129 - 1828.677 Amala Ekpunobi

And then somebody just puts that final piece in and something gets done. Now, somebody just commented, I'll read this from Gary Ford. He says, Amala, check out Rupert Lowe, a new right-wing political party called Restore. And I have checked him out. We've done a video on him on this channel.

0

1828.657 - 1845.697 Amala Ekpunobi

where he very eloquently sort of lays out the position of what's taking place here and the fact that we should be able to talk about these things and other people getting offended by them is not really the issue. The issue is the issue. So I don't know about the inner workings of his party or everything that's going on here.

0

1845.717 - 1851.103 Amala Ekpunobi

This is by no means an endorsement of him totally, but that particular message...

1852.771 - 1879.875 Amala Ekpunobi

it's about time and you're leaving this huge vacuum in your country for something way more way like really white nationalists to pop up like if you want to see a real white nationalist pop up in the uk a real force uh not and not for the good continue continue on the trajectory you're on right now where 18 year old boys get stabbed walking on the street after hanging out with their friends for no reason and then they get accused of racism

1880.463 - 1903.048 Amala Ekpunobi

continue on that trajectory, continue on with the same stories of the 24 year old, I believe that was stabbed the night before I arrived there over his watch, lost his life over his watch. And it's just ridiculous. And Taylor spoke to this whole like focus on the adolescence narrative. Everybody saw that show that came out on Netflix. I couldn't get through it. I gotta be honest.

1903.569 - 1923.711 Amala Ekpunobi

It smelled so strongly of bullshit that I just couldn't. And I realized it was a huge cultural phenomenon when it came out and it sparked a bunch of conversation about toxic masculinity and all that stuff or whatever. But is it the reality? Is it the reality of what's happening in the UK? I don't know.

1923.731 - 1942.569 Amala Ekpunobi

Then you have politicians like Kemi Badenoch who, shout out Kemi, because she's never afraid to bring up an issue and say it as it is and just call out people in parliament just straight to their face. She does not care. She goes on the news to talk about issues that the UK is facing that she's handling boots on the ground. And they're like, have you watched Adolescence? Oh my gosh.

Chapter 5: How does the media coverage differ for victims based on race?

2369.399 - 2388.964 Amala Ekpunobi

white supremacist dog whistles, I guess, to where if you have those flags up, people know that you're a white nationalist. That's been the accusation. Of course, we know that's not true. It seems a lot of people just want to, I don't know, uphold their nation's history. That seems to be something that people are interested in, or at least some of them in the UK.

0

2389.485 - 2410.393 Amala Ekpunobi

So are they actually saying you're not allowed to have them up? And I've heard stories of political parties coming in and taking them down. I'm just wondering on a legal level, what has that looked like for you guys? Because it certainly seems to be a cultural conversation at the very least. Guys, I don't know what else to really say about the story.

0

2410.413 - 2436.061 Amala Ekpunobi

I do want to show one little video here that people who are remembering Henry, this 18-year-old who lost his life, they're posting videos and images of him. I'll play that for you. The star And I should mute that because we're going to get copyright and not be able to show that because of the music. But he seems like. a perfectly lovely young man.

0

2436.101 - 2448.317 Amala Ekpunobi

And I guess through the court system, we're going to find out more details about what's taking place here and the supposed altercation that happens between these two individuals before he ends up losing his life.

0

2448.357 - 2470.568 Amala Ekpunobi

But this is a very young, young guy, 18 years old, so much life ahead of you because you're at the wrong street at the wrong time with somebody who is abiding by different laws than you're abiding by. your life has been lost. And when you try to let police know, I am literally dying. I cannot breathe. I have been stabbed. Somebody negates your story and says, I don't think you have mate.

2471.43 - 2496.012 Amala Ekpunobi

You get handcuffed and you end up drowning in your own blood. Think about that drowning in your own blood. So this video has been not only to talk about the story, but of course, to highlight the issues that are going on and just to share the devastation at the news of this young kid's life.

2496.373 - 2516.502 Amala Ekpunobi

And sometimes in the news cycle, you just hear so many things that it can sort of get lost, just how devastating these things are. And there's probably a hundred stories like this every single day where we don't even get all the details. And this one happens to sort of rise through the ranks just because of how gobsmacked people are at hearing it. But this has happened to so many more people

2516.667 - 2542.202 Amala Ekpunobi

As I said, you know, every single time I visit, there seems to be story after story of somebody getting stabbed, either fatally or not. So in the UK, on top of that, so many other crimes committed against people. So there's a ton of Henry's out there. And I think a country that's on the precipice of doing something about it. I don't know what that's going to be. So any any final thoughts, Taylor?

2543.11 - 2560.428 Taylor

Yeah, I mean, like you said, we don't know what the response is going to be. And I think it's important to say we're talking about this. And I know that the way a lot of British people probably feel is like we're talking about this now and trying to be outspoken and direct with it because it's been not talked about and swept under the rug for so long.

Chapter 6: What is the significance of the Kirpan in this case?

2873.948 - 2896.14 Amala Ekpunobi

And I want to leave a little bit of room for like, I know sometimes you can't just like see the situation so straight. I have not seen the footage from this particular incident. I know some people can be stabbed and not look stabbed. There's room for that. And maybe there's a world in which these police feel, you know, super awful about how they've responded to this. And it truly was a mistake.

0

2896.281 - 2908.767 Amala Ekpunobi

I do not know. But it's just awful. And I think, if anything, they'll be thinking through the way they've responded to this and hopefully never, ever, ever do that again. And they should be out of a job, you'd think. You think.

0

2909.068 - 2929.029 Taylor

I don't know. And yeah, it's like we want to reserve judgment and we don't want to make the mistake of 2020 or previous years where an out-of-context story or clip surfaces and people jump to conclusions and run wild on the streets over something that didn't even really happen once you learn the full context.

0

2929.07 - 2954.676 Taylor

But with this story in particular, there does seem to be a lot of detail that there's a lot of smoke to some of the... You're not climbing over a fence trying to escape and get stabbed twice in the back of your legs and leaving a trail of blood behind you. And the cops can't figure out whether you're really stabbed. I have trouble buying that. And the mom taking the knife away from the scene.

0

2955.857 - 2979.248 Taylor

The guy had the victim's phone. He had Henry's phone in his pocket. So he took the phone off of him because he knew there was a video on there. The police had to get it from him. So, I mean, just thing after thing with this was like, I'm not buying that it was, you know, the way that Mr. Digwa characterized the altercation did not, does not settle for me.

2979.849 - 2992.849 Amala Ekpunobi

Right. And as for being pretty out of character for a Sikh, I thought, at least my experience of pretty peaceful people, I don't know, at the very least, why do you get to carry an eight-inch ceremonial

2993.453 - 3017.149 Amala Ekpunobi

knife when the law of the land is nobody else can do that the law of the land is women cannot carry pepper spray even to defend themselves uh why why is that allowed yeah i think we mentioned he had two two knives uh yeah according to that article he had one like smaller one that was like around his neck and they have this other one that's like a freaking mini sword that he's just carrying around on the street why are you like

3018.631 - 3037.416 Taylor

if the regular British citizen is not allowed to have one and yet you're carrying two, and hopefully that is adjudicated in court and that he's, you know, that's one of the many charges that this man is facing. So Alex Lusher says, happy Friday, Amala Taylor and Chad, have a great weekend, everyone.

3037.666 - 3042.617 Amala Ekpunobi

Thank you. Thanks, Alex. Good to hear from you. I was going to say see you, but not exactly.

Chapter 7: How do societal perceptions impact justice in racially charged incidents?

3290.578 - 3308.31 Taylor

I'm sure it's a little bit of all of the above, but thank you for the super chat. Nadira says, so I don't get these guys that keep yelling racism for no reason. I'm in Holland and this happens a lot, but most of these guys are born here and have no respect or pride for in this country. I'm first generation myself and don't get it.

0

3308.695 - 3311.941 Amala Ekpunobi

I think that just the accusation gets you really far these days.

0

3312.001 - 3313.644 Taylor

Sorry, I didn't bring that up. There it is.

0

3313.904 - 3324.342 Amala Ekpunobi

And I think that you can just reframe the situation by doing that now. It carries a lot of weight. It's like a currency, technically, right now.

0

3324.693 - 3344.514 Taylor

And and the again, the like hyper liberal, open minded culture creates that incentive because it didn't work. People wouldn't do it. But because the culture has created a structure where if you cry racism, you will get a pass. Well, what do you think people are going to do to get out of anything? They're going to do what they're incentivized to do. That's just human nature.

3345.034 - 3373.071 Taylor

So I think that's a huge, huge part of the problem as well. And respect to you, though, for being first generation and like. loving your country and being proud of it and respecting it. And that's what we're talking about. That's what we want to see. It's the people who cry racism that we need to get out. Rachel McCoy says, advice for getting the baby to flip.

3373.131 - 3379.482 Taylor

Try the cat-cow stretches on all fours. Most successful to try between 34 and 37. Why you got to time it right?

3379.763 - 3396.212 Amala Ekpunobi

Okay, I'm on it. Guys, I'm on it. I'm doing all the things, all the yoga poses, all the headstands, hopefully. Hopefully, she said 70% chance, okay? 70% chance his baby flips and does the thing it's supposed to do. So, hopefully, my girl gets better.

3397.515 - 3404.347 Taylor

And if you subscribe to Patreon, you can see Amala doing all those crazy baby flip poses.

Chapter 8: What can be done to address the issues raised in this episode?

3880.998 - 3889.789 Amala Ekpunobi

With that. Thank you guys so much for watching and for your congratulations and everything, all your support. And I will see you guys tomorrow.
