Hei pajari! Taas harrastuksia menossa. Ei lähipoksi. Tulossa menossa, mitä näitä nyt oli. Emman luistelu, baleettia, che jääkiekko, jais ja piano. Ja vielä vahvantila meidän pakettien outo. Joo, pitähän se mullakin joku harrastus olla. Se on just niin. No niin no.

Lähikauppaan kiskalle tai naapurustasi lähiboksiin. Koti kaipaa välillä vähän kaikkea. Onneksi prismasta löydät sen helposti yhdestä paikasta. Aina paskasta paistinpannuihin, Pyykin pesuaineista pöynimureihin, lauantamakkarasta leikkuulatoihin ja appelssiineista effrajereihin. Olipa hakusessa sitten valaisin, bussi laanat kodinkoneita tai sisustusta uuteen kotiin, kaikki löytyy yhdellä kertaa. Kaikki kotiin Prismasta ja Prisma.fi. Verkkokaupasta. I guess a honor.

Happy Bank Holiday. Uh if you're in the UK and you're listening on the day of publication at least, and full transparency here, if that is the case, like you, I'm also enjoying mine because we have asked for questions that you've always wondered about for today's special Americansers, which we actually recorded secretly last week. But as a result, what we've ended up with is an episode which is actually more timeless, and if you You don't mind me saying it is pretty interesting as well. So welcome to American Burning Question Special.

Donald J. Trump 1:42
You hear that sound? Oh, I think when I hear that sound it reminds me of money. We didn't start this war, but under President Trump, we are finishing it.
Marianna Spring 1:51
This is a big cover-up and this administration is engaged in it. This guy has Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Unknown 1:58

Marianna Spring 2:13
And it's Mariana also in the Worldwide Headquarters of Americas, next to Justin in London.
Justin Webb 2:18
Okay. First question is about Zora Mandani. Here we go.
Will 2:21
Hi guys, my name is Will and I'm from Hartleypool. My question is could Zoran Mamdani serve in a democratic cabinet? And does this come with a precedent for non natural citizens to serve in the cabinet? Thanks, guys. Keep up the great work.
Marianna Spring 2:34
Very good question.

Can Zohran Mamdani, a non‑natural‑born citizen, serve in a Democratic cabinet?

Anthony Zurcher 2:36
Uh well Zorran Mamdani was was born in Uganda, so he was not born in in the United States. Uh uh so he can't. He is not eligible to be uh a president of the United States. But the Constitution says nothing about cabinet secretaries. They can be uh born anywhere and serve in the cabinet. Alexander Hamilton, of course, was the first treasury secretary, and he was born in St. Kitts. Most famous, of course, is Henry Kissinger, Richard Nick. Nixon's Secretary of State and National Security Advisor. Madeleine Albright, who was Bill Clinton's Secretary of State. Uh also, well, Elaine Chow, uh, who was uh Mitch McConnell's wife. We have uh Senator, we've talked about her in the past, but she was cabinet secretary twice with George W.
Anthony Zurcher 3:18
Bush and with Donald Trump. And Jennifer Granholm, she was born in Canada. She was energy secretary uh on

Is there historical precedent for foreign‑born politicians holding U.S. cabinet posts?

Anthony Zurcher 3:26
Or Joe Biden. So it it happens, not not uh not uncommon really.
Justin Webb 3:31
So really it's just the presidency that that's barred to you. Nothing else is.
Anthony Zurcher 3:36
Exactly. You can be a senator uh and uh and and be a non native born US citizen. Uh and and you don't even have to be born in the United States if you're if you were citizen at birth. So say Ted Cruz, he was born in Canada, the Texas senator, uh, but he was uh a a a citizen at birth because uh his parents were US citizens. John McCain was born uh in the Panama Canal zone in Panama. Uh uh his father was in the military and he ran for president uh without and got the Republican nomination without any any big issue because he was born as a U.S. citizen. So yeah, it's uh it's just that one little provision in the Constitution. And uh, you know, Zofrain Mam Dani is very popular right now in in New York City.
Anthony Zurcher 4:22
I was just there last week and uh and there There are still a lot of people who really think he's doing uh a a good job.
