Hey, Portlandia fans.
Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen here.
The dream of the 90s is alive in podcast form.
We're launching Podlandia AO Rewatch, our brand new podcast where we revisit every episode of Portlandia together, breaking down sketches, going deep on our iconic characters and pulling back the curtain on how it all got made.
And we'll also be joined by the people who helped bring it all to life. Guest stars, collaborators and friends, including director Jonathan Kreisel, the mayor himself, Kyle McLaughlin, legendary musician Amy Mann and many more.
Kyle is going for it here. You fully improvised, not just words, but a song.
Well, I thought you were all going to write a song.
I remember you thinking that. Listen to Podlandia, AAO Rewatch on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Do you know I just found out who Sidney Sweeney was? If he got a bunch of women, then I should have a bunch of men. Do better or do less so I don't have to do so much. I'm Yamanika and I'm out. Hey there, folks. It is Sunday, July 12th, and we are huge horror movie fans. But even for us, this one was pushing it, and we couldn't wait to come hop on and tell you about it. With that, welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ, an episode we did not plan to record, but we have reacted so strongly, Robes, and it's rare that we react this type of way to a horror movie. This was a lot.
This was the most intense hour and 50 minutes I have spent in recent memory watching Evil Dead burn. I mean, there was a point. I'm not kidding. I didn't even talk about this to you during the movie or afterwards. I'm actually bringing this up for the first time.
Okay.
My heart. Look, I have had heart surgery. I had a dangerous arrhythmia. My heart has been quiet and calm for years now since I've had it. I had an episode in that movie. It was a little flip where my heart went into like a like a tachycardia, like it was thumping. And I actually started to freak out a little bit because I haven't felt that in more than a decade since my heart surgery. And it was just a brief like 20 second thing. But I swear this movie brought it on.
Okay, and apologies to the cast, the crew, to the director, Sebastian Vanacek, because that is not a ringing endorsement. But no, it is, though. No, no, no. Hey, go see this movie. You might have heart trouble. Okay, for some, that might be thrilling.
I think so.
For some, we'll just take a beat. But that does make the point. Robes, anybody that's followed us even a little bit anywhere in our careers knows we are ginormous horror movie fans. We deep dive it. We're not just the Halloween. We're not just the big ones. No, no, no. We deep dive it on horror movies.
