CDC Director: UK variant is now dominant coronavirus strain in the U.S.

CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said the coronavirus variant first identified in the United Kingdom is now the most common strain in the United States. Studies suggest the UK variant is more contagious than the original strain.
