Supreme Court keeps Trump on Colorado ballot, rejecting 14th Amendment challenge

The Supreme Court rejected a 14th amendment challenge and ruled former President Donald Trump should appear on the ballot in Colorado, a massive victory for the 2024 frontrunner for the GOP nomination. But, the high court’s opinion doesn’t directly address whether Trump’s actions on January 6 qualified as an “insurrection” – skirting an issue that the courts in Colorado had wrestled with.
