Close your eyes if that feels comfortable, and take a deep breath in through your nose, feeling the cool air entering, and then slowly exhale through your mouth.Imagine your anxiety as a restless ocean wave. Right now, we're going to practice a technique I call "Anchoring" - where you'll learn to ground yourself when those waves feel overwhelming. Begin by placing one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly. Feel the rhythm of your breath - not trying to change it, just witnessing its natural flow. With each inhale, imagine drawing in peaceful energy. With each exhale, imagine releasing tension, like watching clouds drift across a clear sky.Now, I want you to notice five things you can see, even with your eyes closed. Four things you can feel against your skin. Three sounds around you. Two textures you're aware of. And one sensation of breath moving through your body.This practice helps redirect your mind from spinning anxious thoughts to present-moment awareness. You're not fighting the anxiety - you're simply observing it with compassion.As you continue breathing, repeat silently to yourself: "I am here. I am safe. This moment is enough."Slowly begin to bring awareness back to your surroundings. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Take one more deep breath.Carry this sense of calm with you today.
