Myocarditis, ontsteking van de hartspier komt voor als bijwerking van mRNA vaccins, het risico hierop is echter 1000 x zo laag als bij een active infectie met het SARS-COV-2 virus zelf. In die zin zou je kunnen zeggen dat vaccinatie dus ook beschermd tegen een ontsteking van de hartspier.
