Most people with a visible difference live in low-income countries but to date most of our research and support comes from high-income countries. In Professor Diana Harcourt's powerful AM7 keynote address on 'Visible Difference in Low-Income Countries', we are given the opportunity to think about what we, in higher income countries can learn from the millions of people facing the challenge of living with an altered appearance in circumstances and societies where resources are scarce.
