Chris Chimenti, APTA Home Health Podcast Director, is pleased to announce the release of the first event in a series of podcast recordings. Chris Childers and Nick Panaro engage a thought provoking 30-minute discussion related to their upcoming APTA CSM session titled Where Are We Going Wrong? Transitions and Advocacy for the Older Adult: Achieving Positive Outcomes. The dialogue focuses on the challenges associated with today's health care systems and the fact that older adults are at the mercy of complexities they often have minimal experience with or training for. PTs and PTAs working in home health are often in a position of advocacy as they navigate transitions of care alongside their patients, while also confronting a multitude of pressures of their own such as productivity pressures, staffing shortages, and acuity creep.
