In this episode, I have the great pleasure to talk with Psychotherapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Wellness Author Michelle Goodloe about her inspirational Book/Self-Care Journal "I Own my Magic: Self-Talk for Black Women". We discuss how it is important to engage in positive and compassionate self-talk and to be patient and curious with oneself versus being overly critical of oneself. It is not selfish to rest and take care of the self, and it is important to create space and to set boundaries. We also talk about the specific challenges that black women face who often feel pushed to the margins and how they can create their own versions of success, gain courage and align themselves with their authentic selves and embrace and celebrate their unique power and magic
