Leadership, Crisis Management, Personal Effects and the Value of Life with Robert A. Jensen
10 Mar 2022
In this episode, I have the privilege to speak with Robert A. Jensen, who is a Global Leader in Crisis Management and Mass Fatality Response, the former Chairman of Kenyon International Emergency Services, and an Advocate and Educator. Throughout his life, he has been responding to tragedy and disasters, including the Oklahoma City Bombing, 9/11, Hurricane Katrina as well as the 2004 Tsunami, and the 2010 Earthquake in Haiti. In this interview, we talk about his book "Personal Effects: What Recovering the Dead Teaches me about Caring for the Living", how personal effects memorialize lost loved ones and the value of human life, how media and Social Media fail to capture the violence and suffering in a multidimensional context as well as his views on leadership and managing difficult, devastating and heartbreaking situations.
