Hello and welcome to Mom's Car. Today is an incredibly special episode. Again, for anyone that listened to Armchair Expert over the last seven and a half years, you've probably heard me talk a bazillion times about my ex-girlfriend Brie Morrison, who I still just adore to no end. She's such an incredible person, an incredible mom. She's just gone through an incredible journey. And I'm just delighted that we finally got to sit down and talk and introduce her to everybody in the armchair world. So please enjoy my ex-girlfriend, Brie Morrison. You know what's smart? Checking Allstate first for a quote that could save you hundreds on car insurance. You know what's not smart? Not checking that your sunroof is closed before going through the car wash.
Dax Shepard 0:48
Yeah, checking first is smart. So check Allstate first for a quote that could save you hundreds. You're in good hands with Allstate. Potential savings vary subject to terms, conditions, and availability. Allstate North America Insurance Co. and affiliates Northbrook, Illinois.

Bye.
Dax Shepard 1:21
Don't you find that kind of charming that Kristen could drive any car and this is her car? An entry-level Chevy Bolt?
Briegh Morrison 1:27
I mean, yes. I feel the same way about myself. I'm like, this is the one I want. And also, I don't want to wash it.
Dax Shepard 1:33
Yeah, it's not for you. It just gets dirty again. You got the right color for that, which is white.
Briegh Morrison 1:38
I got the absolute last one.
Dax Shepard 1:40
It was like COVID Mad Dash for them?
Briegh Morrison 1:43
Yes, it was 2021.
Dax Shepard 1:44
Okay, yeah, but terrible time to buy a vehicle.
Briegh Morrison 1:46
And I just had to get a vehicle. Mine was due at the lease shop or whatever, so I was like...
Dax Shepard 1:52
What did you come out of into that van?
Briegh Morrison 1:54
What had you been driving? Volkswagen.
Dax Shepard 1:56
You don't even know. Ferrari? You don't care. Volkswagen, Ferrari? Yeah.
Briegh Morrison 2:00
No, it was like an SUV. Yeah.
Dax Shepard 2:02
I think I do know the name of that.
Briegh Morrison 2:04
Again, it was like I was trying to eat outside my class. Like I believe Erin was originally.
Dax Shepard 2:09
Tyrell, remember his old theory?
Briegh Morrison 2:12
No, you can't have lobster. You can't eat outside my class.
Dax Shepard 2:14
Yeah, the people in the Middle Ages would die if they had like steak.
Yeah.
Dax Shepard 2:18
I don't know where he would have learned that, but.
Briegh Morrison 2:22
I actually use that a lot. In fact, the more money we have, the lower I go in general. Where I'm like, I don't need to keep up with that. That's not me.
Dax Shepard 2:30
Right, but have you been infected with anything? Because I can admit the things that I've been infected with. Jewelry? No, not jewelries.
Briegh Morrison 2:38
Jewelries are mine. I like a nice jewelry.
Dax Shepard 2:40
You still like a nice jewelry.
Briegh Morrison 2:41
And I also still like vintage clothing, but I like real nice vintage clothing.
Dax Shepard 2:45
Yeah, you go and get it from the RealReal?
Briegh Morrison 2:47
Where do you get your vintage clothes? No, I get it from this place, AMT Vintage in Pasadena. I'll get, like, you know, the used Gucci bag.
Dax Shepard 2:53
Oh, sure. So they have high-end used stuff.
Briegh Morrison 2:55
They have high-end, but it's used, and it's already a little bit trashed. Like, I got these Chanel flats.
Dax Shepard 3:00
So it looks like you've owned it for a while.
Briegh Morrison 3:02
Yeah. I just don't mind, because I will trash it.
Dax Shepard 3:05
Yeah.
Briegh Morrison 3:05
Like, I can't not trash things.
Dax Shepard 3:07
Just fast forward. I'm just a trash person. You're a trash monster. You've always been a trash monster.
Briegh Morrison 3:11
Always. So it will get dirty and gross, so I might as well. But I still like the fancy.
Dax Shepard 3:16
But you and I, well, all three of us, come from a modest background. You and I were broke for a decade together. And I do certain things now where I go like, wow, I can't believe I'm this person. I don't have much shame or guilt about it. I've worked through most of it. But hotels, I'm such a fucking snob. Like when you go to an incredible hotel on vacation, for me, it makes it so much better because then I don't care what we do. I'm just delighted to be at the hotel. We were at a terrible hotel last year in Norway. And I was like, I can't believe how uncomfortable I am. This is really humiliating. How much is this rooming? Yeah, I was like, mismatched pillowcases, some silk, which I hate. I don't want public silk.
Dax Shepard 3:58
Communal silk. No. Silks for like you and yourself. Maybe your wife.
Briegh Morrison 4:03
I like that. It's like a nice hotel, but I also still... That hasn't gotten you?
