105. Student Spotlight – Murals 101 with Danielle Nesbitt

This is another episode of the student spotlight series where every Monday I interview my amazing Artist Academy Advanced students to get to know them better, give them direct advice on their art business, and so I can get feedback on how to be a better teacher. This week I’m interviewing Danielle Nesbitt as we talk all things murals. July is mural month inside the Artist Academy so you’re probably going to get tired of me saying the word “mural” by the end of it, but I also hope that I talk you into trying out this artform because there are sooooo many benefits that can come from it! One being the exposure you’ll get (artists hate the word exposure I know, I know) from painting in public. I always get jobs by just doing my job, painting a mural in a public place because people see me working, come by to chat, and spark up an idea of a painting for their home or business. I could go on and on about the benefits of murals but just listen to this episode with Danielle and then let me know if you have any questions. Danielle is the sweetest person and you’ll be able to hear it in her voice from the very start. I’m so thankful to be attracting people like her into the group because it really is becoming this friendly, positive, motivational place for artists to learn and grow.
