124. Adding a Personal Touch to Boost Sales on Instagram with Wanda Comrie
06 Oct 2020
This week’s episode features Australian oil painter Wanda Comrie. Wanda was nominated to be interviewed on this episode, and if you don’t know you can go to www.ArtistAcademyPodcast.com to nominate any artist that you might want to hear from. Wanda shared some amazing tips for Instagram during our chat and one that stood out to me was that she private messages her potential buyers a video of her newly completed paintings. She talks about not being automated, in a world where everything is nowadays, but instead keeping excellent customer service at the forefront of her art business. She has full conversations with everyone who buys from her. There’s no automatic checkout system or computer saying, “Thanks for your order,” it’s Wanda personally typing and saying, “Thank you,” to her buyers. I love this and wanted to just state it at the beginning of the interview because I think it’s a testament to who she is as an artist and spills into the care she has for her paintings as well. Wanda makes all of her sales through Instagram and gives us a peak into exactly how she does it.
