“Immunity acquired from a Covid infection is as protective as vaccination against severe illness and death, study finds,” proclaimed NBC News in a headline published on February 16, 2023. “The immunity generated from an infection was found to be “at least as high, if not higher” than that provided by two doses of an mRNA vaccine.” In the past, similar statements have resulted in the deplatforming of countless medical experts – including bioethicist Dr. Aaron Kheriaty, whose refusal of a COVID-19 vaccination (after recovering from a past infection) led to the loss of his job at UC Irvine medical school.
