Spotlight honors Leah Gramlich, MD, Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Alberta, Canada. Dr. Gramlich is a founding leader of the Canadian Nutrition Society, current chair of the Canadian Malnutrition Task Force, and a former ASPEN Board member. In Alberta, she works cross functionally to build nutrition services teams and develop standardized programs for use locally and nationally. She speaks about the value of implementation science (taking what we know and moving it to practice), the value of mentors, and how ASPEN, through its network of nutrition experts, research programs/grants, and journals helps move nutrition research forward.
