As an athlete, playing it safe might seem to be the best especially when you just had a big break in your sports but it actually causes a lot of harm than good.It hinders alot and if you do not realize quickly, the damages caused might be massive.This episode gives 5 reasons why you shouldn't play it safe and they are : 1. Rare Second Chances: The idea here is that opportunities for do-overs in sports are scarce. Waiting for a guaranteed second chance may lead to missed opportunities.2. It limits physical and personal Growth: You feel so relaxed and you fail to push yourself and that's when growth occurs. The moment you leave your comfort zone, you start growing. 3. Regret: You will live in regret. It just explains it self.4. Standing Out from the Majority: As an athlete, it is advisable that you stand out from your peers and the only to do that as pertaining this episode is do not play it safe. A lot of athletes are doing that already. Avoiding a Life Controlled by Fear: Athletes who consistently avoid challenges and push themselves may find it challenging to break free from this fear-driven approach even after retiring from sports.
