CHICAGO, USA—Breast cancer mortality in American women aged 20-49 dropped significantly between 2010 and 2020, according to research reported at the American Association for Cancer Research 2025 Annual Meeting by epidemiologists from St Louis, Missouri. This was despite a rising incidence of the disease in these younger women. Peter Goodwin met up with the presenting author of the study, Adetunji T. Toriola MD PhD MPH, Professor of Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine and the Siteman Cancer Center in St Louis.
