I'm going great. I'm a bit stressed, but it's a first world problem. I'm going to Japan on Saturday, so I'm a bit stressed getting everything ready. But
that's a good problem to have. Is it just organizing the kids, organizing everyone else?
Yeah, pretty much. Cool. And then I've got, you know when you have people stay at your house? So one of my best friends is staying, which I do not need to stress about her staying or even have the house spick and span like she will do it. But I'm stressed about that too. Just everything.
Well, she's listening and hopefully she's still in the house listening too. But that's great that you're stressed. We'll come back to that. But if you don't already know, Gemma Mitchell's book, The Money Reset, is out now. And the new book's coming out soon too. I actually am holding five books in my hand here. I've got The Money Reset, Strong Money, The Golden Years, Buying Happiness, and Scott Phillips, The One-Page Investing Plan. Is that our giveaway pack? This is our giveaway pack for today. So if you stay tuned for the end of today's live show, we are recording live on YouTube and then it goes out on the audio airwaves on Spotify, Apple, et cetera. If you are watching live, we are live every Wednesday at midday.
and you get the who am I correct at the end of the show, you will get this pack. So this can be sent to you. And it may take about three months to get to you via Australia Post because it's pretty heavy. So today we're talking stock market Bubbles, I think you'd call it. Hype. We're going to talk about a few historical examples. Gemma does love tulips. So if anyone wants to ask her about that, feel free. But we've got plenty in store. We'll talk about some companies. We'll talk about, is AI really in a bubble? And what does that mean to you as an investor? And of course, if you want to send in your questions, you can do that via the live chat. We do have some sent in advance and Gem has actually saw some from Reddit as well because this is a very popular topic everywhere.
Yes. To kick things off, what have you been up to this week?
This week I have been planning lots of content and lots of stuff for you guys for the two weeks that I'm away. I'm sure you're very, very capable, and then packing for Japan. But I was in Melbourne last week, so we got lots of content done. So usually this week it's a bit of a tidy up and getting all of that ready to go out. But yeah, it feels like it's been a very productive week. What have you been doing? Not much. Same
as always. It's been pretty good weather down here in Melbourne and it's been a bit of a slow news week because we've just come off, I think I said it last week, we've just come off a big reporting season in the financial markets. There's not much economic data out at the moment other than everyone's kind of you know, getting political about super and these types of things. There was some commentary earlier this week from One Nation's Pauline Hanson. Yep, that was the news of the week. That was probably the big news of the week, which basically suggested that One Nation would be willing to let people withdraw a certain percentage of their super. I think it was 3%. Three, yeah. Out of the overall 12, it's not that much, for three years, so they could use it to do other things potentially.
And so, in effect... What it meant was that you could use it maybe to pay rent to get ahead on your mortgage or something like that.
