Why might your shares disappear from your brokerage account?
Property investors often talk about using debt to build wealth. In the share market, that's called gearing. With the BetaShares WealthBuilder range, investors can access moderate gearing into shares, and with the newly launched GG-BL, That means exposure to a diversified portfolio of around 1,300 global companies excluding Australia, all with no loan applications, credit checks, or margin calls. Gearing magnifies both gains and losses, so it's only suitable for investors with a very high tolerance for risk. You can learn more about the WealthBuilder range of ETFs at the BetaShares website. And don't forget to read the PDS and TMD to decide if it's right for you. BetaShares Capital Limited is the issuer.

It's good to be back, Owen. Now we're out of lockdown.
Yep. One AstraZeneca vaccine done.
Okay.
was a bit of an ordeal but we got there yes indeed um so this is the august 2021 q a we've got some great questions you've lined up four questions that are i guess really really important to a lot of investors and one that's kind of news to me which is this first one but before we get to that Just remember that anything that we say and any questions that we answer on this episode are strictly limited to general financial advice. So even though we take questions from the audience, which we absolutely love, we can't tell you what's right for your situation because we simply don't know your situation. And that's not our business. We're not financial planners. If you want that type of advice, you'll have to see a financial planner.
And if we recommend or suggest even any ETFs, just remember to read the product disclosure statement and consider the risks before investing. Okay, okay. There's a side note here, which is an interesting thing. And I see this all the time when I'm on Twitter. Explain. Explain.
Yeah, so I had a listener message me the other day and they'd actually been contacted by someone on Instagram who was a sort of a scam duplicate account of another popular finance person on Instagram. And I'm seeing this happen a lot. It happens on Twitter and Instagram, whereas... Someone with maybe 5,000, 10,000 followers on one of those social media sites, they'll have their whole account duplicated by a scammer that'll then start messaging people out of the blue about crypto or various money-making opportunities. So I think it's really important to watch out that... You might be really excited to receive a message from someone you follow on Instagram, but just make sure it's the real account because it's really easy just to copy someone's content.
And I don't want anyone to get scammed that way. So most of these people won't message you out of the blue. So if you are getting messages out of the blue about crypto, it's probably not the real account.
Okay. Interesting. Yeah. I'm just Googling, searching on Twitter for my own username. I don't think I'm as lucky as some of those investors to have someone copycat me, but there is an Owen Rask from, it looks like not Australia, looks like American. So, um, if you're following O A R A S K, that's not me.
