Mackay is spoiled for choice when it comes to awesome sport fishing species, but the mighty saltwater barra remains one of the most highly prized catches. Local angling personality Mick Hassett is well acquainted with the Mackay barra population, having fished the area for 30 years and specialising in taking this species from boat and shore. In this episode Mick dispels a couple of misconceptions and walks us through his strategies for targeting barra in the central Queensland river systems.
