Threadfin salmon (aka king threadfin) are one of Australia's best but most underrated sporting fish. They're not too bad on the table either! Since the introduction of a net-free zone in the Fitzroy, both the numbers and size of king threadfin available to anglers has exploded. It's not unusual to see school of a hundred fish showing on a sounder, with many being over the magical metre long mark. In this episode fishing film maker and Fitzroy guide John Haenke explains how to find where the threadies are hanging in the river system, what tackle to use and his top lures for catching kings.
