The town of Bowen on the central Queensland coast is a hidden gem when it comes to mangove jack fishing. Dan Kaggelis has spent a decade understanding this species in the estuaries around Bowen and has some awesome tips that will put you on the fast track to success on the "red dogs". Dan explains the concept of a bite window, meaning you'll only fish when the fish are actively feeding. And he explains how Jacks live on just 1% of the snags in a system and how find those snags can allow you to catch 3 or 4 fish in a single spot.
