Australian Lure Fishing

Episode 596: Five Days on the Clarence River With Curtis Parker

26 Feb 2023

Description

The upper reaches of the Clarence are one of Australia's great "Wild River" systems and offer some outstanding opportunities for adventurous anglers to experience a wonderful, pristine river system in solitude. Curtis Parker has been on the ALF podcast three times previously and keeps getting invitations for the quality information he provides our listeners. For the last 20 years he's been doing solo missions into the Clarence, taking several days to traverse a hundred or so kilomtres of river in a canoe. Quality bass and the odd Eastern cod bycatch are the attraction, with bush camping, nightime lure flicking and amazing scenery all part of the deal.  In today's episode Curtis outlines how he plans, prepares and executes these multi-day solo trips into remote river systems. Tons of great tips for anyone who's ever dreamed of doing the same thing! _________________ Keen for more great tips like those from today's episode of the Australian Lure Fishing podcast?
