EP 24 True Blue. January 26 is the day that Australians celebrate, commemorate and even mourn. It is Australia Day. We are joined by Mel - 50% yankee, 50% Argentine and 50% Australian. But she is 150% true blue. Come with us and learn how she came to call Australia home. We explore this term and what it means to be "true blue" and Australian. We learn what is distinct with Australia - what are some of the positives and negatives of our treatment of our first people - and how this compares with other cultures and countries. At the same time you can learn some history of Australia - why loyalty, camaraderie, "mateship" is so important and valued by Australians. We hope you enjoy this very interesting personal journey of someone who is now a true blue Australian.
