Have you ever been invited to a barbie? Well, here's your chance. It's a great Australian tradition. But there are some things you need to know to avoid confusion. So the team, and our special guest Sara are here to help! Sara is our first speaker of Italian to come on the show. Now a true blue Aussie, she explains how she came to be living in Australia. Sara explains some of the conventions and unwritten rules of Australian barbecues and how they are different to her own cultural norms. Barbecues are something most cultures can relate to, and for this reason it is a good way to build vocabulary. You might learn some things that you didn't know - that eating kangaroo has become much more common. We also discuss differences in regards to conversation topics, how sports are played in Australia and how they are perceived. And no, we won't talk about those cheating Italians diving in the World Cup. We hope you enjoy this! Maybe even leave us a comment about something you didn't know about the culture in Australia.
