Episode 5075: People Want To See The President Get it Done In Minneapolis; Florida Schools Restricting ICE
17 Jan 2026
Chapter 1: What allegations are being made against Minnesota officials?
Just confirmed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry are under federal criminal investigation by the Trump Justice Department for allegedly obstructing federal immigration enforcement. That's according to two sources familiar with the matter. Fry's office tells us they've heard rumors but have not received formal notice from DOJ on the matter.
Just minutes ago, Governor Walz released this statement, quote, two days ago it was Elisa Slotkin. Last week, it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system and threatening political opponents is a dangerous authoritarian tactic. The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her.
Michael, details are pretty thin at this moment, but we do understand that grand jury subpoenas are being prepared if they haven't been issued already, although it's not clear that anyone has been served with those subpoenas. We understand that this is an investigation being run out of the U.S.
attorney's office in Minneapolis and that one of the statutes they're looking at is USC 372, which makes it a crime to impede or assault an officer.
And it's connected to It appears to be connected to statements that the governor and the mayor have made encouraging people to exercise their rights, essentially, when it comes to immigration enforcement and the activities of ICE in the state. And a lot of people, as you just said, are going to see this as a weaponization of the Justice Department against political opponents.
These are both Democrats, obviously, the mayor and the governor. But nonetheless, this investigation is proceeding and we'll just have to see where it goes from here.
Racial profiling so prevalent that a mayor of a major U.S. city is herself concerned that she could be a target of that racial profiling. And perhaps we would be surprised, Congressman, if not for the fact that that racial profiling had been sanctioned by the U.S. Supreme Court.
You know, Simone was quoting James Baldwin a few minutes ago, and when I pulled up to the Minnesota State Capitol building in St. Paul this morning, I noticed the street signs, and the ring road around the Capitol is Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard, and I thought to myself, What would Dr. King think right now? What would he say right now? What would he call us to do in this moment?
And Mayor Herr, who we heard from today, is the embodiment of Dr. King's dream. And we see the Trump administration explicitly targeting people across this country based on their race. The Supreme Court of the United States sanctioning it. It is disgusting and it is un-American and it has to stop.

Chapter 2: How is the Insurrection Act relevant to current political tensions?
Welcome for our Saturday show, which is, as you know, my favorite show of the week. We're absolutely packed today. We're going to be talking about artificial intelligence, chip design, how does China get the chips. We're going to be, obviously, focused on Canada. Big story in the Daily Mail last night by Charlie Spearing. Charlie formerly at Breitbart, now at the Daily Mail.
about my calling Canada potentially the next Ukraine, what President Trump's going to do about it. We're going to go to Arizona, talk about politics out there in Florida, about this Insurrection Act and support what Governor DeSantis is trying to accomplish with his support of ICE. But I want to start with this insurrection. And also correct the individual there.
They had so many false statements. This is why we play the cold open is to Get your juices flowing in the morning. Get your blood up of all the nonsense and lies and misrepresentations that the mainstream media, the corporate media, particularly MSNBC, CNN, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, try to spin against the president.
Chapter 3: How does the podcast address the topic of racial profiling?
The Kent State situation was in May of 1970. Yo, dude, Nixon won a landslide after that. And one of the reasons was he was dropping the hammer on the protesters and trying to prosecute Vietnam War at the same time. I want to introduce our first guest. I want to talk about Insurrection Act. Stuart Rhodes joins us.
Stuart, first off, they're saying President Trump's trying to lay the legal groundwork. Talk to me, what are your thoughts on what broke overnight of the criminal investigation into Mayor Fry in Minneapolis and Governor Walz in Minnesota, sir?
No, I think that's exactly the right, it's long overdue, it's exactly the right course. But I believe President Trump must channel his inner Lincoln and use the Insurrection Act now to defeat the deep state and defeat the ongoing coup that's been going on since 2016. We saw it in 2020. In fact, in 2020, I wrote open letters to President Trump in November, December, and January of 2020,
urging him to invoke the Insurrection Act and to take down this Marxist coup that's across our country. And so he needs to do this, and he needs to do it because this is what it takes. This is why the Insurrection Act exists. Lincoln did it in the Civil War. Jefferson signed it into law and used it himself. Grant used it to put down the KKK. JFK used it to desegregate schools.
Eisenhower used it in Little Rock, Arkansas. In fact, that's the most direct parallel is what President Eisenhower did
when the governor of Arkansas called up his National Guard and deployed them to block the black students from coming in to go to school, Eisenhower nationalized the National Guard of Arkansas, and then he deployed the 101st Airborne to put a stamp on it, a thousand paratroopers in the streets to escort the kids.
And it was actually safer for everyone because after that, no one wants to dance with the 101st Airborne and the National Guardsmen We're not going to go against direct orders of the President of the United States as their commander-in-chief. I think President Trump should follow Eisenhower's example exactly and do exactly the same thing.
Stuart, let's go back to 2020. Your argument was the summer of love. I take it that was also in Minneapolis, the Black Lives Matter, the George Floyd situation. At that time, walk me through your logic then.
Absolutely. Same thing. You have an open insurrection across the country. I mean, look, they're burning down police precincts in Portland, Oregon. They tried to burn down the federal courthouse with U.S. Marshals inside. Across the country, in Las Vegas, you had insurrectionists shooting at or trying to shoot at court security. at federal courthouses and they were killed.

Chapter 4: What historical parallels are drawn regarding federal intervention?
You have complicit communist judges who do the best they can to rubber stamp whatever the left wants to do and then block anything President Trump wants to do.
Stuart, hang on. I'm going to hold you through the break. Stuart Rhodes is with us. A discussion of the criminal investigations of Mayor Fry, Governor Walz, and the invocation of the Insurrection Act. A lot of people around President Trump said, we've got to go, we've got to go now. Different than 2020 when he had Millian Esper.
Remember, Millian Esper left Lafayette Park, went back to the Pentagon, and they admitted in their memoirs, where they called each other and said, no, we have to block Trump. We have to make a pact to block Trump, which is, I believe, merely ought to be recalled to active duty even before Mark Kelly put on a court-martial. Short commercial break.
We're going to have Chris Tomlinson, formerly of Breitbart, now over at National Pulse. And Brian Kennedy joined us later for a discussion of Mark Carney, his kowtow to the Chinese Communist Party in Beijing, and specifically what he said about working with the Chinese on their currency, the bolster of their currency as a world currency.
Canada has now joined the BRICS nations, and Carney is one of the leaders in this. We'll break it all down for you. Find out the impact of that. Birchgold.com, promo code BANNON. Chapter 5: What are the implications of ICE actions in Minneapolis?
They're still there. They still exist. Bring them in. It makes it much tougher to argue against that. He's doing exactly the same thing Eisenhower did to enforce federal law. And Eisenhower said, I'm doing this to enforce the supremacy clause, that laws passed by the United Statesā
and the rulings of the Supreme Court, Brown versus Board of Education, to desegregate the schools, that has primacy over states. States can't block federal law. That's what we're seeing now is a repeat of what was done in the South trying to carry on discrimination. It's the same thing now.
You have states trying to use their powers to block federal law enforcement of obviously constitutional immigration laws. And we all know why. It's because they're trying to destroy our country with massive importation of foreigners, just like it was done in Europe.
It's meant to replace the American people with someone they think is more pliable, who will vote Democrat and give them a permanent lock on power.
By the way, we ought to start with recalling the brigade I think we've got in Romania on the Ukrainian border of the 101st Airborne. We ought to recall those, and those are the troops we're going to send to Minnesota. Last question. You've mentioned Barr, Esper, and Milley. There are criminal investigations right now of Fry and Walls on this activity in Minnesota.
Do you believe, we're still within the statute of limitations, do you believe that he should open criminal investigations of those three for their actions around the Summer of Love in 2020, sir?
Yeah, absolutely. We should go way beyond that. That's why in combination with looking at the Insurrection Act, I've always said he should also do a mass declassification.
He should take Tulsi Gabbard and Pete Hegseth and have them go take over with the military, military intelligence, taking over the CIA, FBI, NSA buildings, and declassify anything that's not legitimate national security and expose the dirt that the intelligence agencies use to control politicians and judges.
And he should start with the corrupt judges because if he does not clean out the corrupt judges, they're going to start issuing injunctions against him and trying to block him. And if they do that, he should be like Jackson and say, well, they made the ruling. Let's see them enforce it.

Chapter 6: How do immigration policies affect local communities in Florida?
And we should certainly stop that with E-Verify or some other system. But they find ways in very creative, you know, very creative people when need be to find employment, to create their own economies here in this country. So it seems to me you have to look first and foremost, Biden sent these people all over the country. Most of them are on record somewhere, somehow.
We need the records of the last four years of Biden. We know for a fact that they put them in some form of record, they moved them to some state, and most of them received some form of public assistance. Almost all of them received some form of public assistance. That's one of the reasons they were here.
Well, we have records in those Biden years of who were the new people that received public assistance. This is a knowable thing.
You said your concern was if we don't take care of it now, then once the Democrats get in power, they're going to do amnesty. My point's a little more primal. If we don't do it now, they're the key sources you've seen to putting the Democrats back in power. You've seen this. This is the Mondami in New York City.
This is the business model of the Democratic Party is to have all these asylum seekers, refugees, whatever you want to call them, illegal aliens that came through on the Biden watch, the 25 million, and not only are they on public assistance, they're also voting. They're also this is the muscle they've got to steal these elections and to basically return to power.
If you got this, you look at the census and all the census data, we're going to pick up seats in the House. I think we'd pick up if we'd done the census right the first time. I think it's 12 to 15 seats in the House we would have right now. So we've got to do it now. If we wait, they're guaranteed to get back in power one day. Is that not correct? Absolutely.
Yeah. My point is do it now. Absolutely. But also, we're going to have to have a new system of how we vote in 2026. This is the other shoe to drop, Steve, that we'll be talking about, I think, in the next few months.
How can we have a system of voting, both with electronic voting machines, which we know are not secure, and also in the blue states that are in, many of them, open rebellion against the union? How can we trust that in 2026 they're going to have fair elections? Can you count on today Minnesota or Illinois or New York or California having fair elections? No way.
Given their disposition toward illegal aliens and their ideas that these people deserve representation. You're absolutely right.
