02 May 2020

Description

Hey listeners! Episode 9 is an interview with a Masters student specializing in Neuroscience at Strasbourg University in France. In her research she looks at how the circadian rhythm which is heavily regulated by the brain, affects infertility especially for those working night shifts. We discuss the most common neurodegenerative disease in the world, Alzheimer's Disease.  With Japan's aging population, it is predicted that in the year 2025, 1 in every 5 elderly person will be diagnosed with this disease. Ayano also discusses the potential of exercise as a treatment option for those currently suffering from Alzheimer’s as well as preventative measures.  I am also very interested in this disease so it was also a very valuable learning experience for me too.  Enjoy 1:38 紹介/ Introduction 5:07 専門分野・研究内容/ What do you study? 5:30 体内時計とは?/ Circadian rhythm and infertility 08:00 アルツハイマー病とは?/ What is Alzheimer's Disease? 13:05 進行状況・段階/ 7 stages of the disease 19:30 アルツハイマー病のメカニズムと原因/ Causes of Alzheimer's 24:45 アルツハイマー病と認知症の違い/ What is the difference between Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia? 26:00 運動とアルツハイマーの関わり/ How does exercise affect the disease?  30:00 記憶と運動/ How does exercise affect your memory Barbell Radio SNS Instagram/Twitter/Facebook: barbellradio Available on: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Castbox, Breaker, Youtube, etc etc My personal Instagram: kanan.pl
