Chapter 1: What are the main changes in the ABS system this baseball season?
Yeah, there should be some passion. This doesn't have to be boring.
Hey, one thing the game needs is more people like you. You. You. You. You. You.
You. You. You. You. You. You.
Welcome to Baseball Isn't Boring. Here's your host, Rob Bradford. McFarlane, everybody. McFarlane to you. I'm Rob Bradford. Baseball Isn't Boring Studios for the first time since the show revamped, since the show began back in February, since we locked in on this time slot, 10 o'clock to whenever the Red Sox are playing in this case. I believe pregame show starts at 1240.
But yes, I'm Rob Bradford, along with all my co-hosts, the PlayTessie guys. Sammy, say hi, Sammy. Hi, Sammy. Gordo, say hi. Great guy. Good podcast. Pat McAfee, say hi. Anyway, hey, all I know is this. Tommy.

Chapter 2: How do the hosts feel about the impact of the ABS on gameplay?
Tommy Two-Tone. Okay? You had that open. That was obviously Pat McAfee joining the baseballs and boring community early on opening day, apropos. And we invited him in because he is part of it. He loves baseball now. Loves it. That's what we're here for, right? We're here. Everyone says that McAfee is a football guy. Well, not anymore. Not anymore. We got him. We got him. It's like Bin Laden.
Like, we got him. Yes.
Bob, good work getting us in here.
Bobbo! I don't know who he is. Maybe he was talking about one of the producers. I don't know. But we wanted to get that in there. What we got in there was, yes, baseball isn't boring. Screaming from the mountaintops. So, okay. All right, fellas, there's a lot to get to.
We're going to have Dream Maker Farm Director Brian Abraham on at 11 o'clock to let us know what's what when it came to the most. This is the question I wanted to ask him, guys. The most difficult assignment that he had in placing a minor leaguer.

Chapter 3: What challenges do players face with the new ABS rules?
It's a good one, right?
I like that. What do you mean?
Elaborate. I don't know. I literally don't know how else to explain that more. What do you mean difficult assignment? I literally don't know how. The most difficult assignment.
Assignment. Like a tough decision. Like a tough decision for him. We had to place this guy here, but he was really forcing the hand.
You did a much worse job of explaining that. I still don't quite get it. The most difficult assignment of a minor leaguer. Assignment meaning these guys are assigned to minor league teams. So what I said. Are you all right?
Do 15 push-ups. Wait, what am I missing here? Toughest decision. He has to assign players to a certain team in the organization, which was the most toughest decision to make. Right, so it's what I said.
Okay. Hey, you know what I'm going to do? You know what I'm going to do for Gordo right there? You know what I'm going to do? What am I doing? I'm tapping my head.

Chapter 4: How are the Red Sox adapting to the new ABS system?
I'm tapping my head. Okay? Let's get a review of that. And sure enough, Tommy, Tommy Two-Tone, we got a review. I'm tapping my head. I'll pull it up. Give me a second. All right, let's do it. Let's do it. Okay. All right. So we needed a review of what Gordo just said because I have no idea. That was like the C.B. Buckner of show beginnings for you. No. No, because I asked exactly. No.
You should have just said yes. I asked the question. You should have said yes. You're right. Here's exactly what happened, Sammy. I threw a straight ball right down the middle of the plate, and you called it a ball. Oh, my God.
No, no.
I just asked for some clarity. That was exactly what I was about to say. Sorry, Gordo. All right. Here we go.
Chapter 5: What are the reactions to umpire performance under the ABS system?
Here we go. On top of my head, here we go. The most difficult assignment that he had in placing a minor leaguer. A good one, right?
I like that. What do you mean? Elaborate. I don't know. I literally don't know how else to explain that more succinctly. What do you mean difficult assignment?
All right? No, hold on. Let it keep going. No, no, no, no. We don't need to keep it going. Yeah, because that's where I asked the question exactly what it was, and you guys kept going, kept attacking. Tommy Tuto, what do you got? You're the ABS system right now.
I'm going to have to decide. The call is going to stand with Bradfell on this one. I don't really know how else you can explain that one.
It's like you called for a review of the third pitch in the at-bat, and he showed the first pitch in the at-bat.
So now you just call it the ABS system. I'm calling out the system. You showed the AGS system. The automatic, the anti-Gordo system. All right, anyway, we got to talk about the ABS stuff. We got to talk about the Red Sox. We said this the other day, like, this is the great thing.
This is the first time that we get to overreact to actually games that have been played by the Boston Red Sox because we've been doing it overreaction all spring training.

Chapter 6: What insights does the guest, Brian Abraham, provide about player assignments?
Now we get to overreact to the first two games of the season. We can also... overreact to the ABS stuff. There's a lot to pick through in yesterday's game. But I'm going to begin like we have been beginning. First off with nobody has yelled McFarlane yet. Who wants to do it first? I think Gordo should do it to make up for it. Gordo, it's McFarlane. Okay? Yell McFarlane. McFarlane!
All right, there you go. All right, there you go. Bradford, when you say yell McFarlane, what do you mean by yell McFarlane? Sorry, go to McFarlane!
Tommy? Not really sure what to do, but yell McFarlane!
There you go. All right. All right, thank you to McFarland. Thank you to all our sponsors. Thank you to everybody. And by the way, before I forget, speaking of the baseballs and boring brand, the baseballs and boring community, on Tuesday, on Tuesday from 6 to 8 at Cisco Brewers next to Fenway Park, we're having a party. We're having a party. It's partly for the Best Shape of Your Life Club.
Everyone who accomplished their goal is going to get a T-shirt. Sammy?
I'm so nervous to check my calf muscle size. It's going to be a surprise.

Chapter 7: How do the hosts assess the Red Sox's performance so far this season?
Okay. Gordo. I'm nervous to attempt 60 pushups.
You have to attempt 60 pushups at the party. I'm going to try it. All right. Okay. I'm going to try it. All right. So we're going to have that party. And it also may be very special surprise. It may be Rich Hill's retirement party as well. Wow. He will be there. And I want to respect the moment. So it may be his retirement party.
So if you want to honor Rich Hill, if you cared about the great game of baseball and the guy who played for 14 teams or 15 teams or whatever he did, then you should swing on by. It's going to be a good time. It's going to be good. And we're going to have baseballs and boring merch, which you guys love this shirt I'm wearing. Great shirt. I like that one. It's a new design. New design. Love it.
Great guy. Good podcast. Great shirt. All right. Okay.
Chapter 8: What predictions do the hosts make for the rest of the baseball season?
Now you're on the... I've already made you better. All right, let's go. Top of mind for everybody. This is going to be a good one because we have games to actually play off of. I'm not even going to ask Tom because I was driving in the excellent Scott McLaughlin... And Justin Turpin show. And I'm driving in. And Tom says, I got a good question.
Who has a better chance of pitching in the major leagues first? Peyton Tolley or Tanner Howe? That's not what I said at all. That's exactly what I said.
Do I have to go back and get the replay?
I got a challenge. I'm tapping my head. I'm tapping my head. All right. He's going back. All right. He's working hard. So, yeah. So why he does that, this dude top of mind, what's top of mind for each of you? Who wants to go first? I'll go first.
My fears about the ABS have mostly been quashed already. And my fear was I like arguments in baseball. I love them. I love the drama. I think it makes baseball unique. And over the two games, just talking Red Sox, Plenty of beef between the players, the managers, the coaches, and the arms.
There is so much. That's a good take. Maybe more beef. It was a good take. Thank you. No, there is so much to pick through when it comes to this. I think that much more than we anticipated coming out of spring training. And really, if you just look at the Red Sox, the Red Sox games, like everything's encompassed in that. All the controversy.
You could talk about, well, Salvador Perez is 4-0, right? Good for him. Politely. The Houston Astros, they may be losing, but actually they're losing ABS too. They haven't won in ABS. Who is it that was undefeated? Someone was undefeated. I got to go look it up. Did the Braves do something crazy yesterday? No. Oh, I know what it was. The Reds. The Reds are undefeated. They're 6-0.
So you have all that, but there's so much to pick through. And really stemming off of the first two games of the Red Sox, we're going to get to that. Good one by you. Now, Gordo, your move.
My top of mind, it all relates to the game yesterday. Like the Red Sox, we talked about it with the offense. They're going to have to win these games on the margins and They didn't play good defense.
