Even when the Republican Party steered the country into the longest shutdown in U.S. history to avoid helping the working class with health care, many didn't believe it. Well, now the bill for trusting politicians is coming due. It started.

So there's still weeks worth of people discovering their health insurance rates have shot through the roof, and of people realizing the Republican Party is not trying to help them, and that the premiums aren't going to drop. Once you factor in the people that cancel after they get their first bill, and the data from the weeks not released yet,
Estimates suggest that the Republican Party ripped health care away from millions of working class Americans so they could give tax cuts to the wealthy. Republicans have tried to claim they would fix it and that they had a health care plan and that their prioritization of the rich over the working class wouldn't really be that bad. Sign-ups are over.
They didn't come through with their miracle plan because they never had one. It was a fiction sold to their base to keep them compliant while their healthcare was taken away. Working class Americans are not a priority. Bailing out other countries, pushing tax cuts for the wealthy, rambling about attacking NATO allies, and so on was the priority. Not you.
Some vulnerable Republicans crossed over and joined with Democrats to try to push through an ACA tax credit extension. Republican leadership was furious at the attempt to help the commoners. Trump has threatened to veto the attempt to drop health insurance costs for the working class.
Many experts, who will likely be ignored again because a politician will say, nah-uh, fake news, are suggesting that because the most growth seen after the ACA tax credits were implemented was in predominantly Republican states, that they'll be harmed the most. The same experts that told you your premiums would go up, that was alarmist propaganda, right up until it happened.
which are the same experts that said it would lead to people losing their health care, which was, of course, fake news, are telling you that the states that will be most harmed will be Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, West Virginia, and Tennessee. Texas is expected to take a big hit too, but they enacted a state law in 2021 that should help.
You know, when they didn't have Trump ordering them to hurt the working class as much as possible. It wasn't a policy to help woke libs or whatever nonsense they sold you on. The states hurt the most are pretty Republican states. But hey, don't worry. Your boss will pay less in taxes while you ration health care for your family. Anyway, it's just a thought.
