He was chastised by a member of the royal family. Trump has long had a bizarre, sweet, submissive streak when it comes to the British monarchy.
Prince Harry, who deployed to Afghanistan twice during America's war, said, "...thousands of lives were changed forever. Mothers and fathers buried sons and daughters. Children were left without a parent. Families are left carrying the cost." But as Prince Harry pointed out, that was for the United Kingdom alone. The insult was to NATO troops across the board. The apology was just to the UK. NATO countries pulled their weight.
