Why is self‑mastery the first step to getting unstuck?

Bedros Keuilian 0:00
If you don't know what to do when you want to get unstuck, the very easiest thing to do is take control of the things that are most controllable, and that is building and developing self-mastery. Welcome to The Bedros Koulian Show. If you're a driven individual, but you're stuck, you're not sure what to do next in life, this episode is for you. Guys, welcome to The Bedros Koulian Show. I'm Bedros Koulian and today's episode is to help you get unstuck and caught up in life. It doesn't matter if you're in your 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s or 70s, you can still get caught up if we do focused work. Now, obviously, the older you are, The harder you have to work and more focused you need to be. The younger you are, you have time as your advantage.
Bedros Keuilian 0:43
But as we are older, and if I were stuck today, what do I have? I have life experience and wisdom as an advantage. So young people have time and energy as an advantage. We older cats have experience and work ethic as an advantage. So with that said, these are the same strategies I've used to take me from being broke and in $126,000 debt to my original mentor, Jim Franco, to turning my life around completely And actually putting myself in a position where I've got a net worth of over $200 million. I've got great companies like Fit Body Bootcamp Franchise, Trulene Supplements. I'm partnered up with Fuel Hunt Apparel and Fit Pro Tracker Software. And all of these platforms make money and give me freedom and are scalable and growing.

And how did I get there from that guy who was... living in a one bedroom apartment, $126,000 in debt and trying to figure out how he's going to get his life together when I was stuck and unsure of what to do. I can tell you that here's where it's going to start for you. I want you to start with building self mastery first. That's the first step you want to take is to build self mastery because right now you're like, I'm stuck. I don't know what to do next in life, right? Hey, I get it. It happens. You lost momentum. Maybe some kind of disaster took place or chaos took place in your life. Maybe you're recovering from a divorce or a family member who was sick or you got over some injury or illness and you're in financial debt and you've lost momentum and you're stuck.

What does a winning morning routine look like and why should you ditch the snooze button?

Bedros Keuilian 2:20
That happens. What is not acceptable is to stay in that pattern and constantly swirl around in that toilet bowl. At some point, you're gonna get sucked down into the sewage, right? And so what you have to do is become a active participant in saving yourself from the shit that you are experiencing right now. If you don't know what to do when you wanna get unstuck, The very easiest thing to do is take control of the things that are most controllable, and that is building and developing self-mastery. What does self-mastery look like? That means building a winning morning routine, right? Instead of sleeping in. and waking up at fucking eight, nine o'clock in the morning, hitting the snooze button and then drinking energy drinks and coffee and not necessarily exercising and not eating clean and scrolling through social media, that's a losing routine.
Bedros Keuilian 3:09
A winning routine would be the exact opposite. You go to sleep early. You go to sleep by 9.30 or 10 o'clock. You wake up by five or six a.m. You never hit the snooze button, telling your subconscious mind, I've already stacked my next and first win. which is not hitting the snooze button. Because that's what happens, man. When you hit the snooze button first thing in the morning, you think you're just getting like five or 10 more minutes of interrupted sleep. What you're really getting is your morning L, your loss for the day, your morning, right? I'd rather get a W first thing in the morning by turning off the fucking snooze button on my phone and not hitting it and not resetting it to get another five, 10, 15 minutes of bullshit, crappy, interrupted sleep.
Bedros Keuilian 3:49
So if you can go to sleep early, 9.30 or 10 o'clock, wake up between 5 and 6, and then you wake up and you literally start focusing on the things that can give you value.
