‏اليوم الثامن عشر- الله أمين (الكتاب المقدس في عام) Day 18: God is faithful

Today's readings are Genesis 35-36, Job 25-26, and Proverbs 3:19-24 . We will see how God is always faithful his promises and he accomplished his will through us despite our brokenness تابعنا قراءة سفر التكوين٣٥ - ٣٦ ، أيوب ٢٥ - ٢٦ وأمثال ٣: ١٩ - ٢٤ ورأينا أن الله يبقى دائماً أمينًا لوعوده ويتَمِّم مشيئته من خلالنا رغم كل ضعفنا البشري وتحطمنا. Back in January 2022 while spending time in my daily mental prayer, I wished if The Bible in a Year podcast by Fr. Mike Schmitz would be translated to Arabic. So many times, in prayer the Lord would put that project on my heart but I refused to believe He is calling me to do it. Finally, at the end of February I “agreed” to creating podcasts in Arabic during Lent only. Than later during Pentecost season I did a second series Acts of the Apostles in Arabic and English. And thought I was done completely. However, on my silent retreat in December 2022, I concluded the 19th annotation of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Throughout the 10 months while I was doing it, the Lord was revealing to me so many things. It culminated with the knowledge of how much I lacked trust and surrender to God’s will. After spending hours in meditation praying during the retreat, talking to my spiritual director.. I realized I need to live “Thy will be done” more faithfully not just in words; the Lord confirmed to me that His will is to create the Bible in a Year podcast in Arabic language. After contacting Ascension and getting their permission to use the Bible Reading plan & the commentary of Fr Mike Schmitz for the Bible in a Year Podcast (Disclaimer below), I began a project bigger than I can think of. I was tempted to drop out after recording 5 Days yet Day 3 recording reminded me that Noah was entrusted with bigger task (building a huge ark which took more than a year) yet he didn’t allow himself to fall into discouragement and did what the Lord asked him to do. I ask for your prayers as I persevere in this mission entrusted to me. God willing, we will walk together through the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation in 365 episodes, providing commentary, reflection, and prayer along the way. I am using the same reading plan inspired by The Great Adventure Bible Timeline, a ground-breaking approach to understanding salvation history developed by renowned Catholic Bible scholar Jeff Cavins and the Arabic Jesuit Catholic version from Holy Bible App which can be accessed on the app/here. You can also listen to the Bible in a Year podcast in English with Fr Mike Schmitz who did an amazing job.
