اليوم ٢٨٢: أنطيوخس ينتهك المعبد ‏Day 282: Antiochus Desecrates the Temple

نحن نبدأ في قراءة أول كتاب المكابيين اليوم، حيث نسلط الضوء على الاضطهاد الشديد الذي تعرض له اليهود وعلى تدنيس المعبد الذي قاده أنطيوخس إيبيفانيس. كما نبدأ رحلتنا في كتاب سيراخ اليوم ونتعلم عن خوف الرب والتشبث بالرب في الابتلاءات، وأهمية احترام والدينا. قراءات اليوم هي: 1 مكابيين 1، سيراخ 1-3، وأمثال 21: 29-31. As we begin reading the first book of Maccabees today, we highlight the severe persecution against the Jews and the desecration of the Temple led by Antiochus Epiphanes. We also begin our journey in the book of Sirach today and learn about the fear of the Lord, clinging to the Lord in trials, and the importance of honoring our parents. Today's readings are 1 Maccabees 1, Sirach 1-3, and Proverbs 21:29-31. I am reading using the Arabic Jesuit Catholic version from Holy Bible App which can be accessed on the app/website. You can also listen to the Bible in a Year podcast in English with Fr Mike Schmitz who did an amazing job. I am using lot of his comments in my reflection as well commentary from different trustworthy resources.
