We talk to Rob on this week’s bonus show about he felt about getting passed over for the Hall of Fame, and he says he didn’t think it would happen on his first ballot anyway but he was disappointed by not moving on. Jenners also brings up Stephen A’s top contenders to take on the Celtics largely because the Lakers made the list at #3, and Rob feels like they would need a lot of things to go right for them to get there this year. We all agree that we’d like to see OKC take on Boston for the title this year, and a Cavs-Celtics Eastern Conference Finals would be amazing.   After Steph’s “night-night” photo dropped from the Olympics last week, we get into our favorite NBA photos of all time… even though Rob says that HIS shot over the Pistons is his all time favorite. Rob jokes about how everyone in LeBron’s scoring record photo had their phone out, which takes us down the road of the merits of taking photos in a big moment or just trying to enjoy it while you were there. And after Channing Frye said nostalgia is killing the NBA, we debate about how the game should and should not be compared to previous eras of basketball.
