An Announcement

Hello, all. My name is Lucien - I’m the writer and creator of Black Box, and the voice of Nolan. I just wanted to drop in and do a quick announcement about the status of the show, as it’s nearly two years since it debuted and, well, a long time since Season One ended.  Generally speaking, I really just haven’t been in the right headspace to write and develop a podcast. I’ve been writing a book - or trying to - and recording a different book, but even those projects are way, way behind schedule. Long story short, over the last year and a bit, my partner has been in and out of hospital. His condition isn’t getting any better, so we’re pretty much just learning to manage it as we go, and it’s exhausted me. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been sick because of doing too much. Anyway, as for the show, I haven’t forgotten about it. There are ideas for Season Two floating around in my notes app, and I know where I want it to go. When that will happen, I have no idea. It might also involve Season One being taken down and reworked, I don’t know. I’m aware it could sound better, it is very much a labour of love, as we say.  I do want to finish Black Box. I’m proud of my little show, over here in this tiny, tiny corner of the vast audio drama world. But, for the moment, I think it’s officially on hiatus.  I suppose this is about me wanting to apologise for the long period of nothingness, set things straight, and thank you for your patience, your support, your understanding, and your listenership, if that’s the word. Thank you to my friends for lending me your voices and occasional sound effects while I put you through the horrors. Thank you all.  We’ll be back.  Love you x
