Needless to say, that trade deadline occupied a lot of our time with the manager, John Schneider. We'll play that a little later in the show. A lot addressed by the skipper, including a meeting Kevin Gossman had today with staff and players to sort of flesh out some of the comments that have been addressed It had been attributed to him earlier in the week about clubhouse chemistry. Interesting thoughts from the manager on that.
And, yeah, then there's a small matter of playing baseball tonight with Dylan Cease on the mound looking to build on his recent run of success. And, you know, people are – I mean, there's a couple of things we're going to be looking at down the road here, right?

You know, now it's just not, I'm going to go out there and see how hard I can throw it past you. It's not that way anymore. You know, if he looks... like he doesn't have a certain pitch now, I think he can throw another pitch long enough, locate enough that, you know, he can figure out the pitch that's not working for him. And when he's got that four or five pitch mix that he can change speeds with and he can elevate the velocity with, he's one of the best pitchers in the American League.
Yeah, it's going to be fun going forward. It's just going to be fun, I think, going forward to see if he can continue to do it this way. I mean, he's pretty dominant. Like, you know, he's getting left. He's out pretty easy. He's dominating, right? He's... Like, it's just, can he continue to do this? This is kind of the fun of a season, right? I mean, there's not really anything team-wise. I'm not saying they're out of it or it's over. But, you know, they're pretty far behind, and this is a pretty good story just to watch him kind of take hold of the number one spot, you know, just instill confidence in everybody that he can do the job and be the man going forward.
Yeah, and let's face it, the next three days will tell us whether or not the front office thinks this team is still in it. I mean, you know, we've been kind of, are they in it, are they out, are they in it? Well, we'll know. We'll know by Monday at the end of the trade deadline what the front office thinks of this team. And by extension, whether they're in or out of it. A couple of items to get to. The Jays have made a couple of player moves today. Braden Fisher has been reinstated from the bereavement list. Jesus Sanchez is back up with the team. Yo Hendrick Penango has been sent down. Why would you do that? Yo Hendrick Penango has been sent down. and Adam Macko's been sent down as well. The Jays' lineup should be out shortly.
