I think an important caveat with what Mattingly said was that he was directly asked for his reaction to Bryce's comments the night before when he said that the Phillies need help.
And so then that's when he answered that he wasn't just kind of going on a tangent about Bryce.
And one thing that Mattingly did say was that he has experienced players like this before who are outspoken like Bryce's and
He didn't seem like he was too bothered.
I think they were just kind of both speaking their minds in that situation.
I don't think it's anything that's going to necessarily linger in the clubhouse.
