About VaccineOnWheels: In collaboration with IIT Hyderabad and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Jivika Healthcare Private Limited (VaccineOnWheels.com) has introduced India’s 1st Doctor-based Mobile Vaccination Clinic in 2019. VOW is a Future Ready concept! We are India’s only mobile vaccination service capable of handling Adverse Event Following Immunization. VaccineOnWheels aims to immunize India’s underserved population by “Ensuring access to quality vaccination for all”. We are one-stop mobile vaccination clinic with the vision to reduce inequality and increase immunization penetration. To ensure access for all economic strata, we create hospital-like sterile setups near their communities providing vaccination services. This agile setup reduces the overall costs and thereby makes quality vaccination service available and affordable for all age groups. The vaccination services are available for all age groups – new born, infants, children, adults and the elderly. Our service innovation enables us to cover the entire array of economic strata with an increased focus on bottom-of-the-base. Jignesh Patel has 14+ years of leadership experience in Business Development, Channel Sales, Sales & Marketing Strategy. For a major part of it, he was associated with India’s largest automobile manufacturer; Maruti Suzuki India Limited, driving sales & operation for the western zone of one of the Maruti Suzuki’s division. Even when his corporate career was going from strength to strength, his passion lay in becoming a social entrepreneur. He wanted to be a change maker in the field of healthcare, a dream that lay hold of his heart for nearly 8 years. In 2018, he could take the brave step of leaving his cushy job at Maruti Suzuki that earned him a remuneration of more than INR 2 mn to join The Foundation for Center for Healthcare Entrepreneurship (CfHE) at IIT Hyderabad. The 1 Year Research based Residential program (based at IIT Hyderabad campus) helped him to understand healthcare sector from close quarters and identify various issues faced by diverse stakeholders primarily from patient/society perspective. The research of 1 year at IIT Hyderabad helped him in understanding the on-ground bottlenecks of the Vaccination Delivery model in India (and also in various developing nations around the world). He envisages an organized and customized Vaccination Service for India as an answer to the issue by introducing India’s 1st Doctor based Mobile Vaccination Clinic in 2019 – VaccineOnWheels as part of 1st division of Jivika Healthcare. The model involves a customized vaccination service to take Mobile Vaccination Clinic facility on the wheel’s community level focusing on reaching the unreached within urban and rural parts of India. The ultimate aim of VaccineOnWheels is to ensure access of vaccination for India’s rural and urban poor. Under B2G segment, to ensure access for bottom-of-the-pyramid (BOP) - in partnership with Government, VaccineOnWheels creates hospital-like sterile setups near the community providing free vaccination services with the CSR support. © Podcast by Ashish Airon on BlitzBusiness.
