The U.S. military announced this on Saturday following several days of intensifying strikes from both sides. U.S. Central Command said the troops were defending against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks on Friday. Four others were evacuated to Jordanian hospitals. No further details were provided. It was the deadliest day for U.S. troops since the opening days of the war that started February 28th. The total U.S. death toll now stands at 16. Tehran announced Saturday it would no longer adhere to the terms of the interim peace deal as Iran unleashed heavy attacks on Gulf neighbors in retaliation for the latest U.S.
