Chapter 1: What recent developments are happening with Iran's nuclear negotiations?
The UK stands apart as a place to do business, not because of one advantage, but many working together. Over £10 trillion in capital, four of the world's top universities, a 10-year industrial strategy in action, its stability with dynamism, global reach with local depth. It all adds up to greater growth. Find out more at business.gov.uk slash growth.
News when you want it with Bloomberg News Now. I'm Dan Schwartzman. Iran says it has reached a, quote, general agreement with the U.S. on the basis of a potential nuclear deal that would lift sanctions on Tehran. Iran's foreign minister, though, cautioned that the next stage would be, quote, more difficult and detailed. Bloomberg's Oliver Crook with more.
I don't imagine that this is something you can just hammer out in a couple of summits. The first round of talks was on February the 6th. This is only the second round of talks. When you think about the difficulty and the diplomacy here required in order to strike a deal, this is not something that is likely to happen overnight. That being said, we have been surprised in the past that
by Trump foreign policy efforts that have yielded something that was completely unexpected. We think, of course, of the truce or the ceasefire that was arrived at between the Israelis and Hamas, which really is something that at first I think there was very little optimism could really be achieved and then suddenly sort of came into fruition rather quickly.
That's Bloomberg's Oliver Crook. Oil fell on the news of the positive negotiations to under $62.50 a barrel. The Reverend Jesse Jackson, one of the most prominent civil rights activists, as well as a two-time presidential candidate and the founder of the Rainbow Push Coalition, has died at the age of 84. Jesse Jackson Jr. spoke about his father's impact.
When we reflect upon his life and his contribution, it's really too much to try and summarize in a brief moment because... For six and a half decades, he has committed himself to a better nation, a better world.

A third round of U.S.-led negotiations on ending Russia's war on Ukraine began in Geneva. There is little optimism that a breakthrough can be reached to stop the more than four years of fighting.
The talks are expected to address a wide range of issues, including territory, military, political, and economic matters, and will continue for a second day on Wednesday. Apple is accelerating development of three new wearable devices. That's according to people with knowledge of the plans. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman tells us what the devices are.
The pendant is something entry level, it's an accessory, eyes and ears to the phone. The AirPods is something more substantial, right, with that audio gear in there. And then there's the high end of the AI strategy being the smart glasses with the high resolution camera, a computer vision camera, all sorts of functionality to really augment without a display your real world experience using AI.
