News when you want it with Bloomberg News Now. I'm Nathan Hager. A tech-led sell-off in stocks continues, led by chip makers, even after an earnings beat from NVIDIA. The AI chip giant is down more than 4%. That's despite delivering a 73% jump in sales in the latest quarter and projecting sales for the current quarter that beat the average Wall Street estimate.
Dan Ives is global head of tech research at Wedbush Securities.
I think they were stunning numbers. And if you look, especially data center demand, 75% growth. Look, I think there's a stock that's up 3% to 5% today.
Hear my full conversation with Wedbush's Dan Ives on the Bloomberg Daybreak U.S. Edition podcast. Bloomberg Intelligence Global Tech Chief Mandeep Singh says he thinks NVIDIA is on the right track, too.
They said... 50% of their revenue, data center revenue, comes from hyperscalers. The other 50% is now enterprises, neo-clouds, and sovereigns. And if they are guiding for 77% growth, and they feel that part is gonna accelerate, to me that is music,
Mandeep Singh with Bloomberg Intelligence. But right now, the music in tech is off key. The tech heavy Nasdaq Composite is down one and a third percent. The S&P 500 is down two thirds percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is just a touch higher, up nearly one tenth of one percent.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has begun testifying in the House Oversight Committee's Jeffrey Epstein investigation. It's a closed-door deposition at her home in Chappaqua, New York, but Clinton has posted her opening statement on X. She says she had no idea about Epstein's criminal activities and can't recall ever encountering him.
She says the committee's made little effort to call the people who appear most prominently in the Epstein files. Committee Chair James Comer...

Chapter 2: How is Nvidia's stock performance impacting the tech market?
Tomorrow's could be even longer with former President Bill Clinton. Democrats on the Oversight Committee are demanding that this week's depositions from the Clintons be followed by testimony from President Donald Trump. Intense and very serious is how Iran is describing the latest round of nuclear talks with U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
An Iranian foreign ministry spokesman says the proposals in the discussions in Geneva include keeping enriched uranium under safeguards within Iran. The spokesman says no nuclear material will leave the country. We get more from Bloomberg's Jumana Bersetchi in Dubai.
Iranian perspective, they have said that they have flexibility with these negotiations, but equally, they're going to be pushing for concessions on sanctions. So we'll see whether the U.S. are willing to offer sanctions relief in exchange for Iran perhaps being more open to the other criteria when it comes to nuclear enrichment.
Bloomberg's Jumana Bersetchi in Dubai. All this comes as the U.S. military buildup in the Middle East continues. Senate Majority Leader John Thune told reporters today if the U.S. does attack Iran, It should aim for regime change. Cuba says it doesn't attack or threaten, but will defend itself against, quote, terrorist and mercenary aggression.
Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel posted that on X after his government says it got in a deadly firefight yesterday with a group of Cuban nationals off its coast. It says 10 people were on board a Florida-registered speedboat with plans to fight the government.

Chapter 3: What were the sales projections for Nvidia this quarter?
Four of them were killed. Bloomberg's Laura Davison reports this comes at a time of heightened tensions with the U.S.,
Trump has openly mused about potentially getting involved in Cuba, whether it be regime change or something else. It's not at all clear what the U.S. 's plan is, both in terms of bigger picture with regime change or in response to this action.
Bloomberg's Laura Davison reports the U.S. plans to do its own investigation into the shootout. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says they won't base their conclusions on what Cuba says. The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to allow it to end legal protections for about 7,000 Syrian migrants.
In an emergency filing, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said a federal judge in New York overstepped by blocking the administration from ending so-called temporary protected status for Syrians. The high court allowed the administration to lift similar protections for Venezuelans last year through its so-called shadow docket.
Walmart has agreed to pay $100 million to settle claims it withheld tips and misstated wages for delivery drivers in its Spark program. Walmart says it is issuing back payments to affected drivers.
Right now, Walmart shares are lower by 1%. And that's news when you want it. With Bloomberg News Now, I'm Nathan Hager. This is Bloomberg.
