The president said Iran has taken too long to negotiate a deal and now they'll have to pay the price. The U.S. and Iran have exchanged strikes after President Trump retaliated against Iran for shooting down an American Apache helicopter and Bloomberg Middle East correspondent Abir Abu Omar says Iran has struck back.
Now, the Iranian response came in the shape of attacks against some GCC countries that includes the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, but also some U.S. bases in Kuwait and in Jordan as well. A U.S. base was attacked there. The IRGC came out and said that any attack will be responded to

The marquee race of the night was in Maine, where with 80 percent of ballots counted, Graham Plattner wins the Democratic Senate primary with 72 percent of the vote. Governor Janet Mill suspended her campaign in April due to lack of funds, but she still picked up 19.5 percent support. Plattner's campaign has faced multiple scandals since Mills dropped out, from a Nazi tattoo to accusations from his ex-girlfriends. But Plattner says the Republican incumbent has scandals of her own.

He'll face Republican incumbent Joe Lombardo in a race that's pitting President Trump's no-tax-on-tips policy against a slumping tourist economy.

The Republican race for Nevada's second congressional district is still too close to call. Trump-backed David Filippo leads James Settlemyer, who has the endorsement of the seat's retiring congressman, 45.7 to 35.3 percent.
