We're following the latest out of Washington where President Trump says much of Europe will now be charged a 10% tariff for opposing U.S. control of Greenland. The president says those tariffs will start next month and go up to 25% if the U.S. doesn't have complete control by June.
It's unclear how this will play out or what authority Trump could use. The Supreme Court could decide to overturn his existing tariffs any day now. The Justice Department is investigating whether Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry have impeded federal immigration enforcement through public statements they've made.

The White House is weighing an executive action to enact President Trump's call for a cap on credit card interest rates, in addition to other measures seeking to ease U.S. affordability challenges. The plan, which is still being crafted as administration officials discuss the terms with industry and Congress,
is designed to lower interest rates on credit cards as part of a broader push to reduce costs for Americans. Trump's action may also call on regulators to relax certain liquidity standards to help make the plan more attractive for the banks.

regulators have granted Tesla a five-week extension to start addressing a defect investigation in its cars violating traffic laws while in self-driving mode. Bloomberg's Charlie Pellett reports.
The agency opened the investigation in October, citing dozens of instances where Teslas ran red lights, drove in the wrong direction, or committed other failures. NHTSA sent Tesla an information request last month asking the carmaker to state the number of consumer complaints, field reports, property damage claims, arbitration proceedings, or lawsuits that may relate to the alleged defect.
