Documenting ecological crises around the world for TV and film is more important than ever, but doing this whilst having minimal impact on people and planet can be a struggle. As a result, practises are changing. Reduction in helicopter airtime and alternative approaches to animal treatment are just two practises that can lessen the harmful impact that productions have. With a jam packed panel of media veterans on our Campfire Stage (sponsored by Hydro Flask), we took a look at the trials, tribulations and successes around documenting the natural world. Lucy Siegle was joined by:Megan Hine - wilderness guide, expedition leader and producerJeff Wilson - multi-award winning wildlife Director from Silverback ProductionsSam Bleakley - filmmaker, geographer, longboard surf champion and lecturer in sustainable tourismAnd Ed Scott-Clarke - CNN Producer and champion of sustainable production methods.***The Blue Earth Summit is a movement and community driving positive action for our natural world.
