They had until Monday to get rid of him, and they pulled out all the stops.
All of a sudden, all the allegations started coming out about him. Now, to reiterate the point that I've been making throughout this saga, we all know that Graham Platner is a scumbag. We've known it forever. And the media's attempts to pull the wool over your eyes have been utterly preposterous. This idea that, oh my goodness, we're just discovering it. There's nothing to that. But they have emptied out all of the ammunition this week in an effort to take them out. And it worked. It worked. Here's Graham Platner last night, filming it on his iPhone, sitting on his deck saying, I'm suspending this campaign. Cut one, watch.
We believe that for the movement to continue, It can't be made. And for that reason, we are suspending campaign operations. This is incredibly difficult because I know that some will think it's an admission of guilt, and it most certainly is not.
