Also a big show ahead for you today. We're going to talk about the case that the president is going to be able to make as he speaks to the American people this week.

He's got his big national address on Thursday night and a couple of other big elements. Did you see that the socialists just had their convention? It's as crazy as you could possibly imagine. I was belly laughing watching this because if you don't laugh, you would cry at what's happening in your country right now. The socialist convention, we'll take a glance at what that looked like. And also a big debate blew up on the internet this weekend. There's often debates on the internet. This time about whether or not the Trump administration can defund the so-called childcare industry. Is that even allowed? We'll talk about what's going on. It's all ahead on this edition of Vince. It's always great to have you with us.

I want to thank the fine people who do make the show possible today. That includes SelectQuote Life Insurance. You know, we all need it, but somehow it keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list. SelectQuote has been doing this for nearly 40 years and they've helped more than 2 million people find life insurance coverage.

Yeah, we got the interview threads on today. We're being joined by Dr. Kevin Roberts over at the Heritage Foundation. We'll chat with him. He's the president of the Heritage Foundation. Kind of a big deal. We'll chat with him coming up on the program today. Very excited to talk to him about defunding the destructive child care industry. We'll talk about that and so much more all ahead on this edition of Vince. But first, I want to start with some good news from Friday because since last we spoke, something very interesting and wonderful happened. We got a jobs report. And the jobs report indicates that things are moving along very nicely in the United States. You know, the media is going to try and give you a lot of doom and gloom all the time.
Vince Coglianese 3:25
I'm going to try and tell you that something interesting is happening here. Take a look at this. This is an Associated Press headline even. August jobs report shows the United States added 162,000 jobs, more than double economists' forecasts. Have you noticed this? The economists always underappreciate the extent to which Trump is gonna improve the economy. US employers added 162,000 jobs in August, more than double the forecasts by these pinhead economists and signaling a sharp acceleration from hiring in July The unemployment rate held steady 4.1% unchanged from the previous month.
