Jude Calvert-Toulmin graduated from Manchester Polytechnic Film School with a BA (Hons) in Film & TV Production. She has worked as a photo-journalist for the music and climbing press, exhibited her portrait photographs at London's Mall Galleries and started writing novels in 2005. She won prime-time Channel 4 cooking show Come Dine With Me and was runner-up in Come Dine Champion of Champions. A mother of three and a grandmother, she lives with her husband and menagerie of pets in Sheffield, on the edge of the beautiful Peak District.
